We are pleased to present the new edition of the NooJ Masterclass, a free training opportunity to learn the basics of NooJ NLP (Natural Language Processing) software, learn about its potential, and develop new applications of it.

NooJ Masterclass 2023 edition this stimulating event was hosted by the University of Bergamo, at the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures.

The three-day-Masterclass was conducted by the founder of NooJ software, Professor at Université de Franche-Comté, Max Silberztein; Prof. Mario Monteleone, Professor at Università di Salerno, and three researchers from X23 Science in Society - Cecilia Olivieri, Agathe Semlali, and Lorenzo Maggio Laquidara. Professor Silberztein dive deep into the linguistic realm and present the science behind the NooJ linguistic software, targeting students and professors from the Linguistics, Digital Humanities, and Social Sciences fields.

The Masterclass was powered by X23 Science in Society, an active and independent Research Center based in Treviglio, that truly believes in innovation and societal changes by means of contamination of diverse fields of expertise, hands on experience, and knowledge sharing.

Through its participation, X23 SiS stimulated the use of the software through a final interactive activity to compare, design and apply NooJ's functions to the fields of interest represented at the Masterclass. We believe that the study of social and human phenomena often cannot disregard a direct connection with language and communication: studying the narrative dimension, grasping its semantic universe and formalizing its complexity, can drive a deep and qualitative understanding of every linguistic phenomenon.
